WHY A SHOT OF JAVA?

   We are not a 'chain.' We are privatley owned, which means we are here because we have a personal interest and appreciation for the drinks and food we serve.

    The art, decorations, poetry books,CDs' and other knickkacks that you see in here are from customers, friends, and family.  These things make it feel more like a 'home away from home' for all of us.  The conversations, games musicians, poets and general entertainment that go on here are precisely why we are here - for you.

    We also buy fair trade and local products so that the farmers and merchants get their due -  not what is left over after the big corporations and middle-men take their shares.  In return, we get natural, better products and you get the quality that will never cone from some corporations processing factory.

      We are celebrating our 2nd Year Anniversary on Saturday Oct 11th 2008. Party starts at 3:00pm ???

It has been a long hot summer, so this is a good enough reason to have a celebration.  Please come and help us celebrate our 2nd full year here in downtown Glendale.  I could not have done it without all of you.  So thanks to all my customers for making A Shot of Java a success. 

For all of you who have not been here yet. This is the perfect reason to come and find us and celebrate with me and make some new friends.

We will have Music, Poetry, cake until its all gone and much more.  Even some b-boys dancing.  It will be fun so come by and say hi
